A typical assembly consists of a body, a flap shaft, a mechanical or electronic actuator, and a position sensor connector, and depending on the version, it may also work with seals and the engine control unit.
Electronic throttle control
Modern electronic throttle bodies, known as "drive-by-wire," have replaced traditional throttle cables. The system controls the valve opening angle using a TPS sensor and an actuator motor, which allows for more precise management of the fuel-air mixture.
